Experimental Cacao Bar 001 is what happens when a Vermont maple farm and a Vermont chocolate maker start talking. Made in partnership with Prophecy Chocolate in Morrisville, Vermont — using direct-trade cacao — this bar blends our hot pepper maple sugar with a carefully sourced cacao blend: heirloom Peruvian fermented cacao and Mexican washed cacao.
The spice is mild-to-medium, building at the end of the bite and fading warm. The maple sugar rounds out the bitterness of the dark cacao and amplifies the natural fruit notes in the fermented Peruvian beans. It's not your grocery store chocolate bar.
